With the passage of Proposition 122 in November of 2022, also known as the Natural Medicine Act, Colorado officially removed all state and local criminal penalties for adults aged 21 years of age and older who grow, process, store, use, process, transport, obtain, share, or ingest psilocybin, psilocin, DMT, ibogaine, and mescaline (excluding peyote) for personal use.
Since then, Denver has quickly become a hub for psychedelic-related communities, organizations, and businesses. Hell, It’s one of the reasons I decided to move here last year.
Whether you’re looking to get involved in the local community or just visiting and want some recommendations for places to go, Shroomtown decided to put together a list of resources and organizations in and around Denver for anyone looking to get involved with the psychedelic community.
This list is not meant to be a complete list with every local resource and organization represented; it’s meant to serve more as a jumping-off point. With that said, please let us know which ones we missed in the comments, and keep sharing the love and resources.
The Psychedelic Club of Denver
PCOD is a nonprofit organization that provides harm reduction and evidence-backed education to the public surrounding the use of not just psychedelic substances, but all substances. They host events for the public, such as talks with psychedelic speakers or classes on how to grow your own mushrooms. They were also the organization behind The Psychedelic Cup, which was Colorado’s first community mushroom competition for growers to compete for awards like highest psilocybin content or best looking. While many of their events are open to the public, members of the club receive exclusive access to events like bi-weekly integration circles, a monthly potluck, and other community hangouts.

Meow Wolf
Meow Wolf Convergence Station is the third Meow Wolf installation in the US, the first being in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the second being in Las Vegas. Meow Wolf is a fully immersive and trippy-as-heck art exhibit that is almost hard for me to explain because no words I put in this article can ever truly do it justice. You have to see it for yourself. I once spent three hours in here and still didn’t get through it all. Just remember if you are going to partake in certain substances before you arrive, please practice proper harm reduction strategies to ensure you have a good time without bothering others.
